Long distance treadmill running sucks

I think I wrote a post recently stating that I don't mind running on one spot for a long time. I think I should edit that statement. My tolerance for the treadmill is about 60 min. I can run for 45 min and still be happy. By 60 min, I am less enthusiatic. This morning, I decided to run 10km on the treadmill at slow-ish pace. It took me 71 min. It was not fun. However, it is getting colder in TO now, especially with the wind chill, so I suspect running outside will not be much fun, either. I will find out soon enough, because I bought my YakTrax today. Hopefully they will prevent me from slipping and falling on my arse on the slushy sidewalks...

Total mileage for this week: 30.24km
Total mileage this month to date: 40.67km

My knees are a bit touchy these days. I don't really feel pain, they just feel like they are being overworked. Hmmm...

You just need the right gear for outside running.

I love the feeling when the snow is beneath my feet. I also love the feeling when you dress like a ninja. Lastly, I love the feeling when ppl drive by and wonder "what is this freak running in this freakish weather?"...how can u say no to that? :)
