I input my best 10k time into the McMillan running calculator. Based on their calculation, I should be able to run a half marathon in 2:08:30. Ha...hahaha! Really? Hmm...
3.1 mile (5k) workout on the treadmill today. I did the middle mile at race pace, 6.2 mph, or 6:00/km. Can I hold that pace for 13.1 miles? Err...not likely. We'll see what happens come race day. But wait a minute...didn't I say that I wasn't going to pressure myself for a PR on this race? Grr...it's my competitive side coming out again.

I think you can do it, anners. Go for it!!
Anners,
...how about no limit by not setting a time goal.
Like my last half iron. I push throughout the bike and the run. But i never have a bike or run time in mind.
especially the run, I know i will be getting a PB as long as i hold my pace . I guess i am trying to focus on the mental aspect of racing....the flow theory....let it go and just enjoy it..
