We picked up Lily on Saturday and have had a fun, but exhausting few days with her so far. When will I be able to sleep through the night again?? But it's worth it...look at this face!
All the excitement left me with no energy to run :(. Maybe I'll get on the treadmill for a bit while she's napping tonight.
I am an average, not-really-athletic woman who took up running in an attempt to lose weight. That was in the summer of 2004. In the beginning, I found it difficult to run continuously for 10 minutes. I ran my first half marathon in June 2005, and my first full marathon in May 2006. I lost about 25 lbs over time. In March 2010, I had a baby!! Now it is like starting from scratch again, but I am determined to stick to it!
Races completed: 2 full marathons, 1 30k, 8 half marathons, 11 10k, 4 5k, 1 give-it-a-tri, 1 super sprint duathlon and a few others of various distances.
5k - 25:52 (Wolfe Island 5k, Wolfe Island ON, 2009) 10k - 52:30 (Sporting Life 10k, Toronto ON, 2009) 21.1k - 2:06:33 (Forest City Road Races, London ON, 2007) 42.2k - 4:49:42 (Vancouver marathon, Vancouver BC, May 2008)
