It's all fun and games until...

...someone loses a toenail. The Vancouver Marathon (race report) claimed my pinky toenail. Well, not yet...it's black now, so I will be losing it soon. I won't post this picture too big...I don't want to gross anyone out :P According to the 26.2 ways you know you're a real runner, I will soon be real runner according to #10. Last year, the Toronto Waterfront half marathon claimed my baby toenails on both feet! Both times, I was wearing Asics 2120s...coincidence?

Try going up 1/2 shoe size. I used to lose toe nails during every race - not pretty - but since I went up 1/2 size, it seems to have gone away. There is also a special technique for tying laces.

Hey try www.roadrunnersports.com. They have a great selection and good prices! I have ordered a couple of pair of runners from them and some running gear. Don't worry, you will be road running again soon. Love your sis...

I have lost 4 toenails in less than 9 months! Diffeent shoes, different sizes. I guess I am just not mean to have pretty toes.

For me, it's always the big toe and middle toe. Weird!
