Leading up to the Angus Glen 10k...

I ran 3 times last week. I wanted to run 4 times, but things happen...especially when you are not in serious training mode!

Tues - 5.3km progression run on the treadmill (increased speed by 0.1 mph every 1-2min, peaking at 7.3mph), 33:00, average pace 6:13/km
Fri - 8.2km easy run outside, 59:30, average pace 7:15/km. Wonderful, glorious run. Very relaxing and felt like I could go forever. I think I was smiling the whole way!
Sun - 10.14km LSD on the treadmill, 1:10, average pace 6:54/km

Total distance: 23.64km

So, I should survive the race next Sunday, but I don't know what kind of pace I will be able to pull off. I'm thinking something around 58-ish minutes. We'll see.

Sounds like you got right back into your training groove. Good job! You'll do great on Sunday.

You're just like Trixiee, crazy focus and fast in races so I am not afraid for you even if you haven't been running to your full potential! You'll kick some ass as usual =)

Try a 10K tempo and then subtract 2minutes for your race pace for the first half, and pick it up if you can for the second half. Good luck with your race!
